The view from my window this morning.
Our room has a darling Juliet balcony that overlooks a busy street. The French windows open, first place we’ve had with opening windows, and the cool evening is just divine. The nightlife is vibrant and entertaining and when we’re done with it we have sturdy double glazed doors to block it all out.
Would you like to come with me on our morning constitutional? This is what we saw along our way to Fisherman’s Wharf, which was our lunch destination.
How cute are these house boats at Fisherman’s Wharf where people live - for real life!
Lunch was a halibut fishwich (pretty sure the made that word up), basically a fish bread roll and it was delicious. I’ve decided halibut, which Erin has introduced me to, is extremely alright. We ate on the floating wharf with the water gently lapping & the breeze cooling us down after our toasty walk. I think they’re in for a hot summer here.
We caught this cute little water taxi back to the hotel. Which was excellent bc I was feeling the heat & I forgot to sunblock. I haven’t been sunburned in 40 years, couldn’t work out what was wrong till I had a shower lol.
After a delightfully timed nap we got the car and headed out to the pretty Beacon Hill Park. Such a lush green, with plentiful fountains and abundant wildlife. The ducking with their Mummas were engrossing to watch.
