The view from my window this morning
After our first delicious but ridiculously exy buffet brekki we walked around this beautiful place breathing huge lung fulls in the delightfully snow-cold air. We were surprised to find the lake still frozen this far into spring so no gorgeous blue water pics for me
Geoff, I think your driftwood is still here, I do not have your photography skills though
We obeyed rule #1 when admiring the hotel, pretty interesting.
But I’ll admit to being a bit deflated by the rest of the hotel. Average room, clean tidy as you’d expect but with a 1970s model fridge, you know the ones that have have a motor cut in/off which makes the furniture shake? A jet engine air conditioner, and a poorly designed shoebox bathroom which has saloon doors of all things. So like I said average, which is perfectly okay except for the not average price tag. I guess I’ve heard so much about this place I had an entirely different picture in my head. It’s your expectations that get ya, right?
The scenery - 100% meets expectations though
Plus we got to play in some snow, well MGM did ;)
