The view from my window this morning
(out the other window) from our fantastic Fairmont Springs hotel room, which were sadly leaving today.
Travel days. Every holiday has them. They’re sometimes a chaotic rush of shuttle buses, airport connections & hire car drop off/pick ups. Counting suitcases & people, rushing & waiting, queuing & producing documents long poured over in the months of holiday preparation. As a travel day goes though this one was pretty easy.
We got to the airport shuttle bus on time. It wasn’t the one we’d booked and paid for - an intimate luxurious affair with leather reclining seats and many perks it was a 70 seater Bedford bus but it did the job and got us & our luggage to Calgary airport on time.
We had a couple of kms to cover in the airport to get to our gate and I was excited to find that we did not have to walk it but rather could catch this darling shuttle bus. How cute is it! Micheal, our driver, tells me it’s the best job in the airport and even let me ride up front. They have their own dedicated traffic lanes so the can go really fast! zoom zoom
We were quite comfy cosy (well cosy for sure) on the 1 hour-ish trip, very like Sydney to Melbourne on this small plane & then Ubered to our digs at Stamps Landing where we are rejoining Wendy & Tony.
View-wise not a bad start & finish for a Saturday.
