The view from my window this morning

We’re calling the decor ‘Louis 14th quirky’ and absolutely loving this little apartment at Stamps Landing. There’s a pub & restaurant underneath us, a dock for catching the little zippy ferry boats and we’re walking distance from Erin - which of course is the main attraction.
We have a private deck.
Wendy & Erin have had quite a lot of Mother’s days apart and I was so happy that they could be enjoying some quality Mother/daughter time today. I left my ‘please don’t make me go to he markets again’ husband to his own devices and took one of those wonderful little ferries back to Granville island Markets. On my own! It’s not actually a big deal. We can see the markets from here and it’s one stop - ONE - I literally cannot go wrong. Nevertheless, I was impressed with my brave self and enjoyed myself immensely.
Look at my lunch with a view spot!
In one of those ‘you couldn’t plan it that way’ things we happen to be in the same place, same time as MGM & Wendy’s cousins. We usually see them at Christmas time and have missed catching up with them during the covid mess. We couldn’t manage to meet up in Australia, where we all live, but we managed to meet up with them here … go figure. We met up at the markets and, after a little more shopping, we returned to Stamps Landing for a Mother’s Day dinner at the restaurant downstairs. Erin & her lovey girl Victoria (who is totally one of us!) joined too.
A sunset walk for icecream/gelato, I must modify my definition of gelato I think (much creamier here) to round off a very satisfying Mother’s Day. Although, it must be said, I missed my kids & their kids every minute of the day. every . single . minute.
