Sweden to Germany

The view from my window this morning

Yes. That's another sunrise. MGM seems to have embraced the whole early = cheap thing. I know, I know ... first world problems right?!

Last taste of good Swedish coffee and buns

So nice to see another familiar face at the airport in Dusseldorf. Our friend Rob was there to pick us up to start the German section of our trip off in Cologne.

Cologne Cathedral is awesome and slightly overwhelming, photographically speaking.

pretty specky all round I think you will agree (Rob is doing his best Kilroy expression)

and then on to the little town of Zülpich where our lovely friends live, here they are at the end of the evening in the pub across the road from their amazing 100 year old home (pictures of that later).

they had very kindly arranged their own version of vivid for our personal entertainment ...

first we viewed all the sparkly shiny pretty and then into the pub for some of the most welcoming company I have ever experienced, it got really loud towards the end of the evening and I had absolutely no idea what the conversation was about most of the time but it was fun :)

this pub is tiny, was full of every local within cooee, loud and very eclectically decorated, the sort of place you don't usually find without a little local knowledge.

cheers everyone
