Yes that’s right folks – white stuff has been falling all night so when we got up today this is what greeted us when we opened the curtains, compare the two…

What a difference a day makes! This is one reason I love the snow, Monica…it makes the ordinary beautiful and the beautiful sPecTACuLar!

After eating some delicious waffles with coffee for brekkie whilst watching the snow gently transforming the landscape into a winter wonderland, we headed out, of course. No way we’re going to let all this gorgeous stuff go unwalked on. Our excursion today was a large town, Ravensburg. A town that experienced its hey day in the 14th and 15th century! There’s still a wonderful collection of historical buildings here for tourists such as MGM and me. Mrs Peabody (our GPS) took us right to the information centre were we picked up a walking tour map and here is what we saw on our tour. As you can see there’s no snow here, it’s about an hour away from Obrsaufen.

This is part of the old city wall but amazingly is not marked on the tourist walk, sometimes people in this part of the world are a bit relaxed about their history, it seems to me.

and how’s this for great digs for a library?! (below) over four or five floors of history and function!

Back to Oberstaufen at the end of another wonderful day - what blessed tourists we are!

  1. I can't get over how much snow appeared just over night! And I am LOVING those buildings! So beautiful.

In the last photo of the Ravensburg lot I spotted Mike pointing the video camera your way - I am very much looking forward to seeing the skippy-happy Wendy (the international version) caught on film
