pouting, putting & pottering

We were very sorry to hear that our shore trip to Split, in Croatia was to be cancelled due to high winds and extreme weather conditions that might prevent us from entering into Venice tomorrow. Given the weather we had experienced last night and the rain all day in Kotor, we understood. The captain had to make a tough choice, risk the Split visit and arrive in Venice to find the port closed or race the weather and be certain of getting where we need to go.  We were a little nonplussed to wake up to this ...

and to have this weather all the way back to Venice and all the night the we spent in Venice port. I did my fair share of pouting about this, and had to have a serious "get over yourself look where you are" talk with myself. It was nice to come into port in the daytime.







and the girls had a relaxed day of pottering around preparing for departure while the boys investigated the putting potential of the onboard golf green, something you can't do in extreme weather conditions. And it turns out not really in good weather either.
