the view from the [car] window
The lush and mountainous countryside as viewed from a 12 lane freeway - I don't know why this surprised me. I just wasn't expecting this level of busy for some reason. We're on our way to the outlets for the girls and the golf course, conveniently located right next door (someone had his town-planning thinking cap on that day) for the boys.
I'm told the outlets are the thing to do here and I was curious. I think if the exchange rate was in our favour I could see the attraction but it is not currently very friendly, so we made a few purchases and had a lot of fun being girls together in the shops.
This view from the window on the way home is probably my fave of the day though, apparently this is a thing here too ...
Yep that's a lawn chair, in the back of a ute. The ute wasn't full, in fact it only had the driver in it so this is a highly dangerous, very commonly made choice, go figure.
After our busy morning we required the revitalising of salt water and a nap before dinner at Lulu's, which is an open air restaurant with spectacular views and scrumptious food. I'm picking up a theme of scrumptious things here actually.
No, okay ... this is my favourite window of the day ...
and another theme - dinner sunsets
I think we should try that chair deal out when you get back. We'll strap a deck chair to the top of George.
