finally thursday

my fave window view today

I could watch this mesmerising view all day if the outside wasn't so enticing. This magnificence is right in the lobby of our hotel!

Somewhat delightfully we're staying in the one place this trip. So we have settled in, put the suitcases under the bed and I have to find alternatives to the daily view from my window pic which is just going to be the exact same gloriousness I showed you yesterday for the next 9 days. Challenging but I reckon I'm up to it.

Today was a get over the jet-lag day so we shopped a little, swam a little and ate a lot, I think we got the balance right. We had our staff meeting (excuse for drinks, nibbles & general frivolity) at Rum Fire, the bar at the Sheraton.

We got a great table outside, because the more rule compliant of our group insisted we observe the "wait to  be seated" sign. Who even knows what would have happened if we'd followed our rebel leader and just sat where ever we liked, we might be sitting in the slammer right now ... you don't know.

this was our view

 (eye roll) try again

pretty good view of Diamond Head too

the cocktails were huge and delicious

and we watched the sunset

Before we wondered off in search of dinner, which ended up being the most delicious garlic prawns e.v.e.r

  1. "More rule compliant" = just you, yes?

"we might be sitting in the slammer right now ... you don't know."
So you were mocked, yes? This is why the defence? Good to know you're teased in all countries equally.

It's not a view without Mike bombing it.

My goodness, the sunset! I want to step right into it and hear Elvis songs.
