Moving on

The view from my window this morning.

While we were committed to (& and sad about) leaving Lunenburg we did have to stay long enough for the yarn shop to open because look at this sadness. That’s me at the yarn shop door, which was right across the street from the Saltshaker and closed until 11am Wednesday.

11am, I just had to make it till 11am. I packed as slowly as possible. Thought I’ll drink my tea slowly too but turns out I did not have any trouble at all passing time at no. 9, the only cafe open, for morning tea. It’s in one of the quaint little houses, & it was packed! It seems nothing much opens in Canada before 11am (my kinda place), there was standing room only inside so it was lovely to find a table in the pretty garden.

And we made a little friend.

I took a photo for you of UNESCO fresco rd, standing in the middle of the road (a trick I learned from Tony).

Finally 11am.

And then we were on the road again to the airport hotel via our favourite Canadian fast food.

It really is always fresh, well every time we’ve tried it, (so a sample group of 3) and it seems to be not very ‘fried’ for want of a better word. The food is certainly not greasy and the bread is not sweet. I’d love to have this franchise in Australia.

The beast has gone home, we are sad to be beastless and we are tucked up at the airport hotel doing the flying-tomorrow repack.
